I washed floors, waxed living room and dining room. Nice day. Billie and Dennis hauled load of junk into Portland.

Saturday, January 7, 1956

Very nice day. Bill not feeling very well. Waxed kitchen floor. Went to town, paid bills. Cooked in p.m. Dorothea to Westbrook with Barb and Judy. Billie worked. Jill here all day.

Sunday, January 8, 1956

Very heavy rain. Bill had to work. Billie worked up to Chet’s. Betty puttered upstairs. Dorothea, Mama watched TV.

Monday, January 9, 1956

Another bad rainy day. Snow most all gone. I washed. Mama made soup. Bill took D. up to corner to ride with McAllister to shoe shop. Ray. called.

Tuesday, January 10, 1956

Snow all gone this morning. Still raining hard. Bill took Dorothea up. I got clothes in and ironed.
