Hot today, washed. Had a shower in morning. Milan’s folks left for No. Maine on camping trip.

Tuesday, August 2, 1955

I ironed. Churned and cooked.

Wednesday, August 3, 1955

Charlie and Jean called in p.m. Cleaned up the house. Made root beer. Aunt Linnie fell and broke her shoulder, was taken to Mercy Hospital in Portland.

Thursday, August 4, 1955

Did up the work. Kennie and Dot called in evening. Dot brought up some blueberries. We went down to their house.

Friday, August 5, 1955

Dorothea here all day. Washed, did some ironing and work. A very hot day. Bill got the mail box up. Had a nice shower tonight. Betty out with the Smarts in evening.

Saturday, August 6, 1955

Not so hot. Did up the work. Went to town. Milan’s folks came back from the trip to No. Maine. Over to Harrison in evening. Up to Jim Chad’s in evening. Sat out on front porch, nice and cool. Also called on Kennard today to see Brud, Verna and family. Chet got his new milk tank in.
