Washed, ironed, churned. Cooked. Cloudy but clothes dried good. Mama very bad today.

Tuesday, May 17, 1955

Cleaned the house from one end to the other. Mama little better this morning.

Wednesday, May 18, 1955

Mama not very good today. Packed some of my suitcase today. Pick some greens etc. Dorothea left to go on her class trip to New York City.

Thursday, May 19, 1955

Cooked, washed and ironed. Kind of cloudy and windy. Got my new white shoes today. Down to Ferns to try on dress. Mama better, Dr. came. Washed windows. Fern gave me a new bag for trip. Dr. came.

Friday, May 20, 1955

Very nice day, got up early and went down to get my hair done. Made couple of pies, cleaned up the house. Got Donnie’s hair cut. Washed kitchen floor.
