June 12- 18, 1955 Kennard and Kennie Turn 54



Sunday, June 12, 1955

Rained Hard all day. Dorothea, Betty and I called at Ferns in the evening. Dorothea and I went up to Aunt Ava’s. Dorothea drove car, did well. Dorothea took her evening gowns down to Fern’s to hang in her closet. Mama better. Kennie’s family called in p.m.



Monday, June 13, 1955

Rain and showers this morning. Cleared off. Clothes dried quite well.



Tuesday, June 14, 1955

We did a big ironing today, cooked etc. Kennard and Kennie 54 years today. Nice day. Rocky left home tonight.



Wednesday, June 15, 1955

Mowed rest of lawn. Churned. Washed, ironed. Blanche called tonight, Fern, Lloyd, Uncle Os, Bill and I went down to Poland Maine for supper to celebrate Lloyd’s birthday. Very good supper. At Lobsterland on Tripp Lake. Set out plants. Very nice hot day.



Thursday, June 16, 1955

Very nice day. Went over to Aunt Linnie’s to see her chicks. We planted the garden tonight. Dorothea up to Winthrop, Maine with a group of girls from B. H. S. Graduating class on a few days at Dot Libby’s camp.



Friday, June 17, 1955

Another nice day. I cleaned up the house. Donnie’s clothes came today from his mother.



Saturday, June 18, 1955

Very hot day. Bill and I went to town as soon as he got home. Betty to movies in p.m. and evening.
