Clean the down two bedrooms. Very nice day. Billie bot a Jersey cow of Chet.

Saturday, October 23, 1954

Cleaned the sitting room. Went to town in a.m. Cooked etc. Evie McKeen died tonight.

Sunday, October 24, 1954

Got a late dinner. Charlie and Jean called in p.m. also Jack and Sylvia in the evening. Fern, Lloyd and Uncle Os called. Dot and Kennie called in a.m. Billie and Dennis hauled some sawdust.

Monday, October 25, 1954

Washed, churned. Mama went to Aunt Evie’s funeral. Very good day. Susan didn’t have tonsils out today November 1 instead. Bill back to work after being out over a month.

Tuesday, October 26, 1954

Rained all day. I cleaned the dining room. Ironed. Bill brought the pig home tonight. Billie and I killed 5 old hens tonight.
