Rained. I cleaned living room. Billie bought me a new table lamp and two new shades for Mother’s Day. Bill home at noon bought new arial (?) and put it up.

Wednesday, May 5, 1954

Rained. I done the dining room today. Rose, Bob and Holly down tonight. Chet came and bought Flop Ears today. Betty got home from hospital.

Thursday, May 6, 1954

Began in kitchen cleaning cupboards. Rain.

Friday, May 7, 1954

Cow and calf went today. Elmer Fogg bought them. I cleaned in kitchen, finished cupboards. Got a present from Dorothea. Cloudy and some rain. Billie got his license. Sun out a little while.

Saturday, May 8, 1954

Cleaned in the kitchen. Went to town. Cloudy. Rained in p.m. and night awful hard. Went down to Flecks in evening. Betty stayed down there last night. Fern and Lloyd up in eve.
