Nice beautiful morning. I’ve been cooking. I’ve been to town, got Betty’s new sneakers, dungarees and skirt. Downtown in evening with Milan and Betty. Fern and Lloyd up in eve.

Sunday, May 16, 1954

Raining this morning. Got up a little late. Milan and Betty left this morning. Kennie and Dot up in p.m. It cleared off this p.m. Billie mowed lawns. I cleaned up the house.

Monday, May 17, 1954

I did a big wash and ironing. Mama lame. Billie and Bobbie fenced tonight.

Tuesday, May 18, 1954

I went down and helped Fern clean her pantry. It is a pretty good day.

Wednesday, May 19, 1954

Raining. I helped Fern clean her back kitchen and porches.

Thursday, May 20, 1954

Terrie Moffitt came down. I dug some greens today. Cleaned up the house.

Kail came up with Betty tonight.
