Kail came home with Betty for tonight. Very hot. I ironed.
Wednesday, June 23, 1954
Had showers today. Kail went home tonight sick. Dorothea
came home from Barb. Barbara, Nancy and Joy here.
Thursday, June 24, 1954
Nice day but cooler. I went to town, paid Howard. Got a
large jar of Miracle Whip. We mowed lawns. Joy here all day. Dorothea called on
Aunt Linnie in eve.

Friday, June 25, 1954
Nice day, but warmer. Mama made some cookies. Dorothea made
a pineapple pie and walnut cake with a butter frosting. Bill and crew called in
for cool drinks. I did regular work.
Saturday, June 26, 1954
Gert had her calf this morning. A very pretty dark red with
white legs and spots, a heifer. Bill very lame, we went to town this afternoon.
Fern went with us.
Funny that she posted about buying a large jar of Miracle Whip.
