Bill home with lame arm, it made him sick. We went over to Bob’s house. Got plants for cemetery. Betty to town in eve with us.

Sunday, May 30, 1948

Rained all day. Bill’s father and mother up in p.m. Uncle Lewis and Aunt Ava called.

Monday, May 31, 1948

Very nice day and hot. Bill, Mama, Betty and I went down to the parade. Dorothea was in it.

Tuesday, June 1, 1948

Very nice hot day. Mrs. Grover and I cleaned all upstairs bedrooms and one hall at Walter’s. Kennard, Delores, Bill and Evelyn called in eve also Bob.

Wednesday, June 2, 1948

We cleaned upstairs bathroom, hallway, living room and dining room at Walters. Nice day. Bill came home from work lame. We got glads and some dahlias set out.

Thursday, June 3, 1948

Nice hot day. Finished at Walters. $17.15. Bill very lame.

Friday, June 4, 1948

Cleaned that Seaber’s, Mabel Grover and I. Very hot. Bill awful lame and sick.
