Rained. Bill didn’t work. Didn’t do much. Downtown in eve.

Sunday, May 16, 1948

Bills father and mother here all day. Fair in forenoon. Rained in p.m. Billie’s cow went. Joy came home.

Monday, May 17, 1948

Rained. Washed. Cleaned the china closet. Bill nor Billie didn’t work.

Tuesday, May 18, 1948

Cleaned cupboards in kitchen. Bill’s father and mother up in eve. Rained. Joy here today. Dorothea got her shoes.

Cold and cloudy, windy. We cleaned Mama’s bedroom. Bill worked and Billie.

Thursday, May 20, 1948

Cloudy. Cold showers. Bill didn’t work. I cooked rhubarb pie and chocolate cake. Mama canned rhubarb.

Friday, May 21, 1948

Bill worked 2/3 of the day. It was cloudy and cold and awful rain showers in p.m. Uncle Lewis came down. I went up to his house with him. Fern, Sara and I went down to Scouts time in eve. Very good.
