Saturday, March 27, 1948

Cloudy and rain. Bill raked up the yard. He, girls and I went to town in eve. Kennard called in eve to see Custer.

Sunday, March 28, 1948

Hayd called. Kennnie, Dot and Rayburn called. A very cold day. Made about 1 ½ quarts syrup.

Monday, March 29, 1948

Custer still here. We washed. A good day. Kennard and Delores called in eve. Billie’s Fogg cow had her calf this p.m. Bill and I went down to Jean’s. Gordon called up here.

Tuesday, March 30, 1948

Bill, Mama, Betty and I took Custer home. Found the man dead in his camp at Bartlettboro. Dorothea gone to minstrel show with Auntie and Fern.

Wednesday, March 31, 1948

Very nice day. I washed up after Custer’s visit. Bill went to work at Jim’s.
