June 12 - 18, 1948 Bill Very Sick

Saturday, June 12, 1948

Rained. I finished cleaning the house. All done to the kitchen. Aunt Jo and Blanche called to say goodbye. Bill awful lame.

Sunday, June 13, 1948

Rained all day. Bill’s father and mother here. Bill not feeling well. Milan moved his stove. Aunt Jo left today, sold her car to Dennis C. (Chadbourne)

Monday, June 14, 1948

Papa been gone one year tonight. Bill very sick today in bed. Dr. M. came. He is lame all over. Charlie and Dad C (Crook) called in p.m. Kennard and Delores, Raymond and Val planted our potatoes.

Tuesday, June 15, 1948

Dr. M. came to see Bill, he is a little better today. Clean part of kitchen. L. Y. is 47 today (Lloyd Yates)

Wednesday, June 16, 1948

Nice day. Finished cleaning the kitchen. Dr. Mabry here to see Bill.

Thursday, June 17, 1948

Big washing. Dr. Mabry here, Bill up. Crook parents here in eve. Fern, Kennard, Jack, Mr. and Mrs. Schaeffer. A very nice day.

Friday, June 18, 1948

Nice day. Mama cleaned oil stove. I cleaned shed and all of the barn. I also finished the ironing. Milan called to get some things.
