Saturday, August 23, 1947

My corselet came. Cleaned up the house. Went to town in eve with Brud and Dot. Hot.



Sunday, August 24, 1947

Terribly hot. Bill worked at Kennard’s. Billie put up electric fence. Bill and I went to town with Bill and Evelyn Ridlon’s folks called in eve.



Monday, August 25, 1947

Went to town with Blanche in a.m. We washed, churned. I had Betty and Billie’s pictures taken at Olin Mills studio at A. L. Hall. Hot.



Tuesday, August 26, 1947

Cloudy light showers. Picked and canned blackberries. Bill and I went to the movies with the Ridlon’s.



Wednesday, August 27, 1947

Nice cool day. I went to Portland with Dot, Velma, and Hartley to see Aunt Mina, Ed Davis, Uncle Sulmore, and Del Shane.



Thursday, August 28, 1947

Churned. Ironed. Canned rhubarb pickles. Country fair today and night for hospital fund. Bill pulled beans.



Friday, August 29, 1947

Picked the last of the blackberries at Ferns. We canned corn. Wash. Kennard and Dolores up for some strawberry plants.
